About this conference

Our regional academic conference is the annual convening of local and international speakers and attendants expressing interest in current issues of regional and international research. 

The conference will take place at Novosibirsk State Technical University on 17 of November, 2016. The conference is organised by the Department of International Relations and Regional Studies of NSTU, "Confucius Institute" EC and "Vostok-Zapad" ERC. 

Conference plan includes a plenary session with representatives from the University and public authorities and four separate Foreign language sections.


Conference objectives:


Among the conference objectives are strengthening and broadening potential networks of interest between different regions; deepening interest in History, Culture, Economics and Politics of regions; showcasing and further developing presentation and Foreign language speaking skills between students.


Participation requirements:


We welcome undergraduate and post-graduate students in the following fields of study and research: "International Relationship", "History", "Foreign Region studies" and "Eastern Studies".

We welcome papers and presentations in several languages:

- English
- Chinese
- Korean
- Japanese

Please apply with the following:

- Text in any Foreign language mentioned above
- Short summary/abstract of the text
- Russian translation of the text

Participant applications are accepted until November 1, 2016. 

Online-only registration available. 

Please register at www.interstud.conf.nstu.ru and upload your text on the website.

Participant entry fee is 200₽.

Both in-person and not-in-person participation options are available. 

Conference proceedings will be published separately.

NSTU hostel is available upon request. Please make sure to enquire and book before November 1, 2016.
